Thresholds for detecting change of angular size were determined for a range of angular separations in young and elderly observers. We found no differences in thresholds between these subject groups. Thresholds for detection of change of visual angle increased with angular separation in a power function relationship. Angular size change judgements based on successive views of a target are apparently not significantly affected by age.
