A simple inexpensive apparatus for measuring the forward light‐scattering properties of excised corneas is described. The apparatus generates a light scatter profile to indicate the angular dependence of the intensity of scattered light over a 140° angle within a time of 9 s. The potential clinical use of light scatter measurements in the detection of corneal disease and other uses for this apparatus are discussed.
