The accuracy and repeatability of an i.r. electronic objective optometer (the Ophthalmetron)is studied in aphakia. it is shown that the Ophthalmetron is a good alternative to retinoseopy in terms of accuracy and repeatability, but will fail to deliver imerpreiable results in 20% of cases.
