This paper provides the results of numerical and experimental investigations of buckling problems of cold‐formed, thin‐walled channel beams with double‐box flanges under pure bending. A local and global buckling analysis is realised numerically with the use of the finite strip method. A local buckling has been experimentally studied and also numerically with the use of the finite element method. Experimental tests of beams subjected to pure bending are conducted. The results of numerical and experimental investigations are presented and compared. A fundamental influence of double‐box flanges on the critical load is shown.
