Three commonly used methods of bridge balancing are analysed. Relations and graphs are presented for ready determination of the necessary resistances and potentiometers. A circuit with a potentiometer parallel to two bridge arms and with a single limiting resistor between apex and potentiometer slider appears to be the simplest and most economical; it also gives a comparatively small error.
