SUMMARY Observations are given, from the years 1975 to 1978, on the migrations of raptors and large soaring birds along the Bulgarian section of the Black Sea coast, with casual observations on passage in western and central Bulgaria. The winter status of pelicans, and of some raptors, is discussed. The author's findings suggest that the main spring migration route follows the coast north from Burgas, rather than turning west there, as had been suggested.
