Members of the Union are reminded that nearly all the books and many of the papers mentioned in this section are available for reference in the Alexander Library of the Edward Grey Institute, and the recordings in the Sub‐Dept. of Animal Behaviour, High Street, Madinsley, Cambridge. In the case of hooks, only those sent for review by publishers receive mention, whereas the abstracts are selected from the whole of the periodical literature. The abstracts are prepared by a panel of contributors organized by Dr E. K. Dunn and Miss D. F. Vincent of the Edward Grey Institute. Papers appearing in the ‘Ibis’ itseff are not abstracted. Titles of papers in languages other than French, German, Italian and Spanish are translated and placed in square brackets. When there is an English summary with a title, this is used, but in round brackets
