Summary— The forthcoming opening of a phase I unit in a French public hospital ‐ the Louis Pradel Cardiovascular and Pneumological Hospital, Hospices Civils de Lyon ‐ presents an opportunity for its manager, Benoît Leclercq, to explain with both public hospitals and the phase I unit have a mutual interest in working together: the hospital facilities and staff ensure safety and quality, whereas the phase I structure improves the public hospital image and adds renewed dynamism.
