Autoimmune response following peripheral nerve injury in mice was investigated in the present work. Antibodies specific to gangliosides and myelin proteinaceous constituents are produced in mice following sciatic nerve cut. Results are discussed with regard to the possible relevance of the immunological response to nerve regeneration.
