Summary During a 2‐year period six women have been identified with benign cervicovaginal deformities of the type normally associated with diethylstilboestrol (DES) exposure in utero . In none of them could such a hormonal history be identified. It is suggested, in view of these findings, that benign cervicovaginal deformities are not unique to women exposed to DES in utero and some possible reasons why they have never previously been reported are presented.
