Summary Of 31 patients in the second trimester of pregnancy who were given an intraamniotic injection of 80 g. of urea and 5 mg. of prostaglandin E 2 , 30 aborted within 26 hours. The mean injection‐to‐abortion interval was 10 hours and 30 minutes. Vomiting occurred in 32 per cent of patients.
