Summary When an injection of intramuscular 17a‐hydroxy‐progesterone caproate (Primolut Depot) was given before each radium insertion and before hysterectomy in 38 patients with endometrial carcinoma, there was a recurrence rate of 10–5 per cent as against 20 · 5 per cent in 44 controls.
