Summary Results of the six months follow‐up of 2319 women who received the English preparationof anti‐D gamma globulin, and of 546 who have had a subsequent pregnancy are reported. The failure rate was found to be 0.55 and 1.6 per cent respectively. Details are given of the 7 cases of failure of protection in the subsequent pregnancy; the infants were all mildly affected. Three cases are described, also mildly affected, of subsequent pregnancies after anti‐D gamma globulin was given although the mothers had a positive enzyume test for rhesus antibodies prior to the injection. There was little correlation between the incidence of failures, the pre‐injection. There was little correlation between the incidence of failures, the pre‐injection Kleihauer count and the dose of anti‐D gamma globulin given.
