Summary Amniotic fluid creatinine was measured in 306 samples. There was a wide scatter of values at each week of gestation, and although there was a tendency for the levels to rise with increasing gestational age the scatter was so wide and so much overlap occurred that the method must be regarded as unreliable for estimating maturity in clinical practice.
