Summary After surgical induction of labour, the effect of the administration of oxytocin by “titration” on the outcome of labour has been studied by comparing the results for two years before and two years after instituting this method. There was no statistically significant difference in the mode of delivery or state of the fetus, but the induction‐delivery interval was considerably reduced.
