As is well known, the abdominal pelvic organs, from their movable character, are liable to rotation of their attachments, and it is indeed surprising that more examplea of this complication are not met with. In my experience of pelvi-abdominal surgery, I have met with sixteen instances. In 14 of these cases the ovary was implicated, and two were associated with uterine growths.
