Techniques and facilities for better herd management are described and tables showing the output of milk in relation to increases in herd size are given. The advantages of mechanization and development of pipeline milking showing the correlation between larger herd and labour productivity are evaluated and the importance of grouping cows, feed control and proper records and efficient cow handling facility is stressed.
