The importance of accuracy in the metering of milk is discussed, showing the advantages and disadvantages of various types of meters, with some of the more recent developments. Easily dismantled filters, the basic principles of air eliminators such as the open dump tank popular in Continental dairies, and the air‐release valve device are described in detail. The object of fiowstraightening with its various functions is shown.
