The problems of industry and the importance of its obligations to society are considered, with particular reference to the role as played by the dairy industry. The significance of the nutritional and bacteriological studies in the early part of the century and the subsequent technological advances are discussed. The function of the Milk Marketing Boards and their responsibility to the dairy industry is described. Management training and the integration of directors and staff with the need to preserve the involvement and identification with the company is emphasized.
