The purpose of this presentation is to discuss the use of path analysis with multivariate psychophysiological data. Path analysis is a simple descriptive multivariate technique which, given a matrix of intercorrelations and a hypothetical model of the direction of relationships among the variables, can produce estimates of the magnitude of the direct and indirect influences which together produce the observed intercorrelations.
