Cerebral temperature can be monitored unobtrusively on free‐ranging human subjects. We describe here a pulse‐modulated radio frequency transmitter that is worn behind the ear and transmits information on temperature in the ear canal. The information can be decoded by a portable monitor or recorded for later analysis. Preliminary findings suggest the equipment can be used in a variety of studies.
