child was 6.8 per cent in all births, but 15-4 per cent after one stillbirth and 34.3 per cent after two stillbirths. The extent to which stillbirths, abnormalities and infant deaths was due to abnormalities of the CNS was striking.ll It is precisely this type of information which is required if the efficiency of ‘Risk Registers’ is to be improved.13 It is to be hoped that further progress in the computerisation of medical records as designed by NEWCOMBE may be forthcoming.
