SUMMARY Isotope ventriculography, with I 131 and I 125 , has been used to study cases of hydrocephalus. It is of value in the differential diagnosis of obstructive and communicating hydrocephalus, in studying the distribution of cerebrospinal fluid, and in examining external hydrocephalus. The procedure does not bring out anatomical details, but it shows the ventricular system in its entirety and is less traumatising to the brain than air studies. RÉSUMÉ Ventroculographie isotope avec I 131 et I 123 clans revaluation tie l'hydrocéphalic La ventriculography isotope, avec I 131 et l 125 , a été utilisée pour étudier des cas d'hydro‐céphalie. Elle a de la valeur dans le diagnostic différenciel de l'hydrocéphalie obstructive et communiquante, pour l'étude de la distribution du liquide céphalorachidien, et pour l'examination de l'hydrocéphalie externe. Ce procédé ne fait pas apparaitre tous les détails anatomiques, mais il montre le systÉme ventriculaire dans son ensemble et il est moins traumatisant pour le cerveau que les études par l'air. ZUSAMMENFASSUNG Isolopen‐Ventriculographie mil. J 131 und J 125 hei der Einschätzung von hydrocephalus Isotopen‐Ventriculographie, mit J 131 und J 125 , ist angewendet worden bei dem Studium von hydrocephalus‐Fällen. Sie ist wertvoll bei der Differential‐Diagnose von obstruktivem und kommunizierenden hydrocephalus, beim Beobachten der Verteilung der cerebro‐spinalen Flüssigkeit, und bei der Untersuchung von äusserlich auftretendem hydrocephalus. Die Prozedur lässt keine anatomischen Details erkennen, aber sie zeigt das ventriculare System in seiner Ganzheit und hat eine weniger traumatische Einwirkung auf das Gehirn als die Luftstudien. RESUMEN La ventriculografía isotópica con J 131 y J ,125 en la evaluation del hidrocefalo Se ha utilizado la ventriculografía isotópica, con J 131 y J 125 para estudiar casos de hidrocéfalo. Es de valor en el diagnóstico diferencial de hidrocéfalo obstructivo y de hidrocéfalo comunicante, en estudiar la distribución del flúido cerebroespinal, y en examinar el hidrocéfalo externo. El procedimiento no revela detalles anatómicos, pero demuestra el sistema ventricular en su entereza, y es menus traumático para el cérebro que la encefalografía gaseosa.
