Asymmetrical Moro Response in Neurologically Normal Infants

SUMMARY An asymmetrical Moro response has been demonstrated in three infants with no neurological or local abnormality. It has been ascribed to the spontaneous closure of one hand at the time of the procedure and does not occur when both the hands are open. RÉSUMÉ Réponse de Moro asymétrique chez des nourrissons apparemment normaux Une réponse de Moro asymétrique a été décelée chez trois nourrissons ne présentant aucune anomalie neurologique ou locale. Ce fait a été attribuéà la fermeture spontanée de l'une des mains au moment de l'examen, et ne se produit pas lorsque les deux mains sont ouvertes. ZUSAMMENFASSUNG Asymmetrische Moro‐Reaktion bei anscheinend normalen Kleinkindern Eine asymmetrische Moro‐Reaktion ist bei drei Kleinkindern nachgewisen worden die an keiner neurologischen oder lokalen Anomalie leiden. Die Reaktion ist der spontanen Schliessung einer Hand während der Prozedur zugeschrieben worden, und sie tritt nicht auf, wenn beide Hände geoffnet sind. RESUMEN Un reflejo de Moro asimétrico en infantes que parecen normales Se ha demostrado un reflejo de Moro asimétrico en tres infantes que no tenian ningunas anormalidades neurológicos ni locales. Esto se atribuye al cierre espontaneo de una de las manos durante el ensayo, y no se halla cuando ambas manos están abiertas.
