SUMMARY A pollen diagram from freshwater sediments resting on glacio‐fluvial outwash at Trysull, Staffordshire, England shows a sequence relating to the development of temperate stage forest. Correlation with a nearby Hoxnian site at Nechells, Birmingham is suggested.
