S ummary The plant is found in the Senni Beds of the Lower Old Red Sandstone of South Wales (= Siegenian‐Emsian). Details of the morphology and anatomy of both sterile and fertile parts are given, together with an account of the spores. The plant is thought to be closely related to Zosterophyllum fertile erected by Leclercq in 1942, but as this species is known from a single fructification, it is concluded that the new plant, for the moment, should be called Z . cf. fertile .
