S ummary Pollen diagrams are presented from two sites in the uplands of mid‐Wales. One of these, the Elan Valley Bog, provides a continuous record of vegetational history during the Post‐glacial period. Many of the conclusions drawn from this pollen diagram are confirmed by reference to the other site at Llyn Gynon.
