S ummary Phosphohexoisomerase is shown to be present in beech mycorrhizas and to be distributed between host and fungal tissues approximately in proportion to dry weight. These results show that the different destinations of glucose and fructose absorbed by mycorrhizas is not explicable in terms of the absence of this enzyme from mycorrhizas or from their fungal tissues.
