S ummary Two experiments were consistent in showing that mycorrhizas are of no significance in sulphur accumulation by Pinus radiata even after a period of sulphur starvation. It is concluded that unlike phosphorus, sulphur has a free pathway through the mycelium of the mycorrhizal fungus.
