The population dynamics, life cycles and distribution patterns of Neobisium muscorum (Leach) and Chthonius orthodactylus (Leach) were studied over a two year period in a Chiltern beechwood site. The data obtained for the two species are compared, and the importance of pseudoscorpions in the beechwood community is discussed.
