Silken chambers were examined from two collections made during September and October 1964 on Anglesey. Incomplete chambers were either empty or contained exuvial remains. Complete chambers contained either single individuals (all stages,) or single individuals plus their own exuvia, or females carrying embryos or larvae, or females accompained by their own protonymphs. The chambers had been used for hibernation, moulting or brooding. These results, taken in conjunction with previous work (Gabbutt, 1962) and substantially to our knowledge of the life‐cycle of this species.
