This is a study on the biology of a representative of the family Diplocentridae. It deals with: occurrence in Israel, biotope and burrow, observation on feeding, varnishing and burrowing, sexual biology including sexual dimorphism, male and female genital systems, the spermatophore and its opening mechanism, courtship, mating and parturition, the larva and its dorsal process, moulting, and regeneration in nymphs. Comparisons are made with other scorpions regarding morphological, biological and behavioural peculiarities of this species, and the main subjects are discussed.
