An account is gíven of hitherto poorly known Malayan Megachiroptera recently received at the British Museum (Natural History) from the Institute for Medical Research, Kuala Lumpur. Variation in Cynopterus brachyotis from the south‐east Asian mainland is studied and a hitherto unknown Malayan race described; two genera, Dyacopterus and Aethalops , are recorded for the first time from the Asiatic mainland and the taxonomy of a number of species of Malaysian Megachiroptera discussed.
