Summary.1 With the proper technique it can be shown that the sperms of the freshwater Ostracods are highly motile. 2 The discovery of this motility has necessitated a re‐orientation of the sperms. The sperms consist of a thin anterior part and a thicker posterior part, which is the flagellum. 3 The nature of the movement is described. 4 Apparently the sperms are now functionless.
