SUMMARY The receptors for the extracellular structural components fibronectin and vitronectin each consist of two subunits called α and β. Using human‐rodent somatic cell hybrids and cDNA probes corresponding to the α‐subunits, we have confirmed the mapping of the fibronectin receptor (FNRA) to chromosome 12 and the vitronectin receptor (VNRA) to chromosome 2.
