SUMMARY Height and weight were measured in a United Kingdom population during 1964–66. Comparisons were made with previous studies in the United Kingdom and showed an increase in weight for males but little change in females. Both sexes are lighter than American figures. Increase in weight was most marked in the forties for men and in the fifties for women. Comparison of height showed that the subjects in the present studry were taller than those in other studies. Growth in height continues ove the age of 25. The percentage number of subjects overweight, in relation to the American desirabes Weights, was calculated for males and females. A review of anthropometric data is included.
