Summary The ABO frequencies in 290 mongols at the Polk State School and Hospital have been analysed and compared with three control groups in the Pittsburgh area. No evidence of an increase in AB or a decrease in O group among the mongols has been found. The conclusion is that the ABO locus is probably not located in the chromosome for which the mongols are trisomic. We are indebted to Drs William Kuhns, Arthur Mirsky, and Ian Higgins for allowing us to use their ABO data in the Pittsburgh area as controls.
