Evaluation of services, and in particular the views of service users, is gaining increasing prominence. The literature on Portage emphasises the need for more attention to evaluation and more information on parents' views. This study describes the development of a measure of client satisfaction with Portage services, the Huntingdon Portage Client Feedback Questionnaire, and presents data from a survey of past and present recipients of one local Portage service. It is suggested that this measure could be adopted by Portage services and used as an ongoing means of self‐evaluation.
