A case of anorexia nervosa is reported in a 35 year old woman who has severe learning disabilities. She presents with all the symptoms of anorexia nervosa except amenorrhoea. This condition is under‐diagnosed in people with severe learning disabilities. It is important to recognise this condition because it can be life threatening. The case report includes the successful use of a behavioural treatment approach.
