EDY is a training package concerned with an objectives approach to teaching pupils with severe learning difficulties. The role of the EDY instructor is crucial if trainees are to acquire a broad and generalised understanding of the principles involved. A well‐organised course, led by an instructor who has in‐depth appreciation and practical experience of using EDY, ensures that trainees will be aware of the benefits, possibilities, and support the system offers.
