SUMMARY. Follow‐up surveys of a CSS microteaching unit and three‐day microteaching workshops demonstrate that microteaching is a very useful instrument in staff development for instructors of adults with mental handicaps. It is a very versatile instrument which permits the production of a “self‐contained” video teaching package for use in inservice training.
