SUMMARY: In this article the effect of a visiting theatre group on a class of mentally handicapped students is considered and it is pointed out that drama can be effectively used to aid teaching of everyday situations. This short description demonstrates how unacceptable social behaviour can be brought home to the mentally handicapped. It is intended only to provide one example of the use of drama in special schools.
