An Investigation of Behaviour Disturbance and Adaptive Behaviour of Children with Severe Intellectual Disabilities and Epilepsy: A Comparative Study

Fourteen children with severe intellectual disabilities and epilepsy were compared with a matched control group of children without epilepsy, with respect to their behaviour. The few significant findings suggest that features of hyperactivity may be more likely to occur in the children with epilepsy, and that they have poorer life skills, particularly in the area of independent functioning.
