The authors present a case of a woman with Dowling‐Degos disease in which the reticular pigmentation clearly involved the perianal and vulvar area. The extreme rarity of this localization and the importance of recognizing this disease in the mucosa is emphasized to permit identifying forms with few cutaneous characteristics and to distinguish them from other dermatoses.
