Abstract A 10‐year‐oId‐girl, with an atopic background and with certain pemphigus‐prone antigens in her HLA haplotype (DR4, w6; DQwl. w3), developed pemphigus foliaceus while on treatment with feprazone for an acute bout of pharyngitis. The diagnosis of pemphigus was confirmed by cyto‐histologic and immunofluorescence studies. The inducing role of feprazone was supported by a positive MFF test to the drug. The conventional steroid treatment cleared up all lesions in lour weeks. One year later, in absence of any therapy, the patient is well, but pemphigus antibodies are still present in her serum. Interestingly, a second‐degree aunt of the patient, genetically unrelated to her, suffered from pemphigus vulgaris triggered by feprazone.
