Aim To study the localization of CA15‐3 antigen in normal skin. Background CA15‐3 antigen can be useful in the investigation of skin appendages. Methods Specimens of paraffin embedded normal skin were stained by CA15‐3(DF3) monoclonal antibody. Results Sebaceous glands and secretory segments of sweat glands were strongly positive. Conclusions Skin appendages express CA15‐3 antigen in common with other epithelial gland tissues. This antigen is especially useful as a marker of the secretory segment of sweat glands.
