A case of a young female patient with hydroa vacciniforme is reported. Blisters, bullae and papules healing with scarring appeared on light‐exposed areas and were accompanied by fever, malaise and photophobia. The patient improved with use of high protection sunscreens and per os hydroxychloroquine (200 mg/day).
