The International Forum on the Social Science –\udPolicy Nexus (IFSP) is intended to highlight the\udimportance of social science engagement in a\udnumber of today’s critical issues, especially as\udthey relate to developing countries. Social\udscientists are inundated with exhortations to be\udrelevant to the societies they live in. They are\udimplored not to subject social science to the\udimperatives of analytical\udtools and methods. Policymakers\udbemoan the drift in\udthe social sciences towards\udwhat they consider irrelevant\udabstractions
