This brief report describes the effects of lamotrigine on 12 patients with the Lennox–Gastaut Syndrome in an open, uncontrolled study. Three patients are seizure free and five others substantially improved. Seven of these eight patients have shown a marked improvement in quality of life. Lamotrigine is an extremely useful adjunct in the management of the Lennox–Gastaut Syndrome.
