Gambling has significant social benefits as a form of recreation and entertainment. Moreover, people from all walks of life want to enjoy their freedom and that includes the right to do what they want with their own money. Regulators should take note that, in addition to intruding on gamblers' liberties, prohibitions undermine individual responsibility.
